Welcome to the 2015/16 school year...We use the Everyday Mathematics syllabus for our Math classes.
Each learner will get a Student Math Journal (SMJ) in which they will do their work and complete problems. Learners also have a textbook on loan for the year called the Student Reference Book (SRB). The SRB is filled with explanations and examples of Mathematical terminology and skills. Please use this as a reference point to help your child understand and discover for themselves concepts and terms they are not familiar with. At the start of each unit a Family Letter (FL) will be sent home. Please read this with your child. The FL explains what will be explored in the unit and has some extension exercises you can do with your child in order to help them make a link between theory and practise. It also has the model answers for the Study Link (SL) homework sheets. Please go through the homework with your child. |
